Oggun is an orisha and loa who presides over iron, hunting, politics and war. He is the patron of smiths, and is usually displayed with a number of attributes, including a machete or sabre. This beautiful statue depicts Oggun poised and ready for battle. Made of cold cast resin, it measures 9 1/4 inches tall, 5 1/4 inches long, 4 inches wide, and the base is lined with felt to prevent it from scratching delicate surfaces. The bronzed finish is highlighted by hand painted accents that emphasize the detail, from the texture of the grass to the chains and shield.
