Soloman Pentant~Pewter Large Gothic Vampire Cross Pendant Necklace

The Gothic period of architecture, mid 12th century through mid 16th century, was characterized by the use of the ribbed vault and the soaring pointed arch. The cross is a sacred symbol that represents the intersecting of heaven and earth; the spiritual and the material worlds. The four quadrants delineated by the arms of the cross can be seen as the four cardinal directions – north, south, east, and west, or the four alchemical elements of earth, air, fire, and water.
